The Story of Dragon Perfumes
Dragon Perfumes began with a simple belief: fragrance is not just something you wear; it is something you become. Founded by Atlanta perfumer Darryl Hunter, the house exists at the intersection of ritual, identity, psychology, and emotional alchemy. Each creation begins with a question: Who are you becoming, and what scent does that version of you require?
Dragon Perfumes blends ancient perfuming sensibilities with modern psychological insight. Every fragrance is built as a symbolic structure, a narrative of the self expressed through resin, flower, wood, and skin. The brand emphasizes emotional resonance, nighttime identity, and the power of scent as a transformation ritual. Fragrance is not decoration. It is declaration.
All perfumes are hand-blended in small batches with careful attention to emotional function, symbolic meaning, and sensory depth. The house specializes in warm resins, textured florals, intimate musks, and modern aromatics that sit close to the skin or expand with intention. Every bottle carries the imprint of a story — yours.
Dragon Perfumes is home to the highly anticipated Traveling Atelier, a 90-minute private ritual where each client receives a bespoke scent created through identity excavation, emotional mapping, and symbolic blending techniques. The Traveling Atelier represents the brand’s deepest expression of artistry and transformation.
In late 2025, Dragon Perfumes introduces a new global fragrance category: Bedtime Fragrance™. Designed for the quietest hours of the night, these scents use warmth, intimacy, and psychological grounding to support restoration and personal ritual. The debut scent, in early 2026, BED Black, anchors this movement and expands the modern language of perfumery. Breathe. Embrace. Drift.
Rooted in mythic identity and aligned with the rising fragrance trends of the next decade, Dragon Perfumes stands at the forefront of the shift toward emotional perfumery, ritual-based luxury, and symbolic scent structures.
My mission is simple:
