The beginning
Before Dragon Perfumes, there was memory.
I grew up in the Mississippi Delta. My mother was a beautician, and fragrance lived inside that world. It was part of beauty, presence, conversation, and transformation. People came in one way and left feeling seen. That stayed with me.
I began wearing fine fragrance at twelve. Over time, the depth and feeling I loved became harder to find. Instead of continuing to search for it, I chose to study it and build it myself.
I am a father, a gardener, a student of philosophy, and a lifelong observer of how people, plants, materials, and memories change over time. All of that enters the way I make perfume.
The discipline
Engineering gave me structure. Perfumery gave me language.
Aerospace engineering trained my mind to understand structure, proportion, timing, balance, pressure, and movement. I apply that same way of thinking to fragrance. I do not build perfume as a simple list of notes. I build it as an architecture with an engine, an identity, support, and magic.
Every material has a role. Every stage has a purpose. The perfume is designed to move, mature, open, return, and reveal different parts of itself as it meets the skin.
My style
Artisan perfume with a vintage spirit.
My style of perfumery is artisan and vintage in spirit. I work with a high proportion of natural materials, including woods, flowers, resins, tinctures, botanical extracts, and traditional perfume ingredients that develop character as they age.
I use perfume-grade materials selected for professional fragrance creation. I blend in small batches, allow many formulas to rest and mature for extended periods, and sometimes build components over several years before they reach their final form.
I never duplicate a formula exactly. Each batch carries its own life, movement, and expression. I may also update a formula every few years by adjusting its balance, proportions, or architecture while remaining true to the ingredient description and the identity of the original perfume.
That means a Dragon Perfumes fragrance can continue to grow without losing its soul. The name, materials, and central character remain connected, while the composition becomes more refined as my experience deepens.

I have studied perfumery in the United States and Spain, and I have traveled through Spain, Italy, and across the United States to study fragrance, raw materials, presentation, packaging, and the many ways perfume is experienced in different places.
More than a decade
Years of practice behind every bottle.
For more than ten years, I have studied how perfume is composed, aged, packaged, worn, and remembered. That work includes hands-on blending, material study, travel, observation, and continuous refinement.
Small batch creation
Made closely, slowly, and with attention.
Dragon Perfumes remains a small-batch house so I can stay close to the materials and to the evolution of each blend. I want the perfume to feel personal, alive, and connected to the person wearing it.
The final ingredient
Your skin completes the perfume.
I create the structure, but your skin gives the perfume its final expression. Temperature, movement, chemistry, memory, and presence all shape what the fragrance becomes on you.

Each perfume is designed to be experienced on skin, lived with over time, and understood as more than an accessory. Perfume can support how you feel, how you remember, and how you move through the world.
